2020 Henry County NAACP MLK Celebration

The Henry County Branch of the NAACP presents, our Annual MLK Celebration Weekend, an inaugural fundraising weekend to support our principal objective to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice. You are invited to be an honored guest in our “Annual MLK Celebration Weekend” by becoming a sponsor of this glorious event. With your help, we want to achieve a fundraising goal of $20,000 that will support our scholarship and youth programs. During this year’s celebration, approximately 1000 guests will be welcomed to an event that will allow you an opportunity to witness the impact you can have on the youth of Henry County. You will experience our Annual “MLK Prayer Breakfast” - dedicated to honor the legacy and dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and our annual “MLK Day Parade and Celebration”– which is a two-fold community celebration of Dr. King’s walk for peace and justice, and will provide an opportunity to reflect on and redefine his ongoing legacy.  This signature event celebrates the Henry County Branch of the NAACP’s numerous years to ensure political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
